If you can’t start the day without a cup of coffee, the following designs may be of interest.
The Barisieur is a dream come true for those who have to have their morning coffee before functioning. This alarm clock can be set to brew a cup of fresh coffee, ready right when you wake up.
Developed by by Joshua Renouf for a graduate project, this concept product may just be genius.
Stainless steel ball bearings work to boil water with induction heating.
Renouf has thought of everything, as the unit is complete with coffee and sugar compartments. There is even a sealed milk vial that will keep cream cold.
The walnut top can be taken off for easy cleaning and can also be used as a tray.

Waking up the senses, the NESCAFÉ® Alarm Cap is designed to help you start the day fully engaged.
This alarm clock won’t brew your coffee for you, but is an interesting way to wake up.
Created by Publicis Mexico’s Innovation Lab and NOTlabs, the cap has 7 different tones that work in orchestration with lights to awaken resting minds with a blend of sound and a soft glow.
The interior of the 3D printed caps contain the electronics, and the exterior is made of nylon.
You probably won’t find this clever marketing invention in the coffee isle, though, as there were only 200 limited edition caps produced.
(On a side note: Coffee connoisseurs may scoff at the thought of instant coffee, but NESCAFÉ® instant actually comes in heavy duty glass containers of different sizes and can be reused around the home.)
