Aveda, meaning ‘all knowledge’, is a range of ethically produced beauty products. Founded by Horst Rechelbacher in 1978, it was originally based on Ayervedic Medicine which is an ancient Indian alternative practise. Rechelbacher made his first batch of hair care in his kitchen sink and now Aveda is stocked in 24 Countries around the world. Aveda was one of the first companies to adopt a set of principles known as The Ceres Principles.
