People tend to gravitate to rooms that are pulled together and adorned with a little style.
Even though happy with a space, having a look at other rooms can conjure up some inspiration or provide a fresh outlook.
These rooms from Ganna Design aren’t afraid to use a mix match of items. Modern and repurposed pieces are both used, and the space is pulled together by color and texture. The composed rooms lend to a calm feeling that culminates in a relaxing but operative area.
Intended as an office studio, there are separate creative zones but the floor plan allows a functional flow. The bi-folding antique looking panels are a neat way to soften the separation within the rooms.
Karhard Achitektur + Design have developed several residential projects that use different layers of elements. This bright, white home is fresh and polished. Pops of color and various non-matching pieces give a stylish twist and a retro ambiance.
Another clever room divider, wooden planks are used for splitting up areas but are painted a matching white to help give an open feel.
A different home shows soft hues blended with sturdy pieces. A variety of natural woods, textures and bold furniture create a nice balance.
Artist Jorge Pardo used his talent to produce a glossy, luminous space. Different surfaces, from the wall decorations to the shiny flooring, are topped off by the unique pendant lighting sprinkled through the rooms.
Located in Paris, this apartment nestled in a centuries old building received a stunning renovation carried out by ateliers Michael Herrman. By knocking down walls and combining several rooms, a multilevel loft studio was formed.
To stay true to its era, the original oak beams and limestone walls have been reinstated.
A new addition, a room with exquisite glass flooring and walls, creates openness and provides views of the vertical garden and courtyard area.
