Do the days seem dreary?
Winter can often bring on strings of long, dismal days and frosty nights. The following pieces would certainly brighten up their surroundings, and would add some color to any gloomy, cold day.
This bright silk stool, chair and ottoman combination is from Meb Rure.
The bases are formed from white oak and the legs are detachable for easy transport.
The vivid cushion portions are made by using recycled silk yarns that come from Nepal. Reusing the silk yarns cuts down on fabric waste, and probably provides some cushy seating. The insides of the tufts contain sponge inserts for extra comfort.
They almost give off a playroom vibe, and would add a little lightheartedness to any room.
This primary colored sofa called Iris is from Lubo Majer. The form is representative of a rainbow and according to the designer the concept was inspired by light which can be rich in color. It can be used as a sectional by adding other units onto the ends.
A glass plated table was made to complement the seating arrangement, and its reflective finish resembles the rain.
From Amirkhan Abdurakhmanov of Amirko Design, Change It is a concept design for a changeable wall mural system that surfaced a while back, but its presentation is hard to ignore.
This imaginative display of prisms is a neat idea for people who easily tire of their surroundings, as it can be moved around to reflect your mood or color choice for the moment.
By reusing materials, drawing inspiration from nature and offering versatility, these creatively made pieces do their part to wake up interior spaces. Plus, they add in a playful aspect that makes them really fun to look at.
